Overcoming Zigbee Challenges: A Success Story

I recently encountered an issue with my Zigbee network that had me puzzled for a while. I noticed that after restarting my Home Assistant instance, I would consistently get warnings about ‘Unknown cluster 57344’ and ‘Unknown cluster 57345’ in my logs. At first, I wasn’t sure what was causing this, but I suspected it might be related to a failed firmware update on one of my Securifi Peanut Plugs. I had attempted to update the firmware, but it kept stopping at 59%, so I decided to unplug it midway through the process. Unfortunately, even after removing the plug from my network and rebooting my system, the warnings persisted.

After some research, I discovered that these errors might be related to corrupted data in my Zigbee application database. I decided to take a proactive approach by backing up my Zigbee configuration and then clearing the database. This involved stopping my Zigbee add-on, deleting the existing database files, and restarting the service. The process was a bit daunting, but it worked! After a clean restart, the warnings were gone, and my Zigbee network was functioning smoothly again.

This experience taught me the importance of regularly maintaining and backing up my smart home setup. It also highlighted the resilience of the Zigbee protocol, as my network recovered without any issues once the database was reset. If you’re ever facing similar warnings, I’d recommend checking your Zigbee configuration and considering a database reset as a potential solution. Always remember to back up your data before making any significant changes!

Happy smart home tinkering! :rocket:
