Pairing M200 with Meross Proximity Sensor MS605

Hi,

I am trying (but failing) to connect the Meross MS605 proximity sensor to the M200 hub. Based on the documentation of both products, this should be totally feasible. When following the instructions I get an error that the sensor is unable to connect to the M200 hub (see attached image) I have tried all the diagnostic steps but still no luck.

Support on this would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Hi! So you are connecting the Meross sensor to the M200 Hub via Matter. Have you had success with other Matter devices on your network or is it specific to this sensor?

Since you said you tried the diagnostics steps, that means you confirmed IPv6 is enabled on your home network, correct?

Hi,

Thanks for your response. I have been to connect several matter devices and ipv6 is indeed enabled. It just this particular device that I seem to be struggling with. I did not share this earlier but the error code is 10028 (if that is helpful).

Thanks!

How many matter controllers or thread border routers do you have currently set up?
And Is the Meross device connected to any other ecosystems?

I only have the one controller/router : the Aqara M200. I have plenty of matter devices connected to it that are working perfectly fine (including other meross devices). Only this sensor is being difficult.

As for the Meross presence sensor, I’ve only just set it up with the Meross app (which basically allows me to calibrate the sensor etc with no real smart functionality)

I just saw another post (in a different forum) with someone having a very similar issue (same error). It seems like it is specific to the device’s matter implementation, as they are not able to pair to Aqara or Hubitat. You should try Meross support in case they can help.
