Perfect Wake-Up Routine Setup Guide

Hi everyone! I’ve been experimenting with creating the perfect wake-up routine using my smart home devices, and I’d love to share my setup and ideas with you all.

Every evening, I say “Goodnight” to my Google Mini, which then asks me when to set the alarm for the next day. This is super handy since my wake-up time varies depending on my schedule. After setting the alarm, it triggers my goodnight flow, which turns off all the lights and puts my devices into sleep mode.

In the morning, when the alarm goes off, I have the option to snooze or stop it. But here’s where things get really interesting: when I finally decide to get up, I say “Goodmorning,” and it kicks off my wake-up flow. This flow does several things—it turns on the lights in my bedroom, plays some gentle music, and even adjusts the thermostat to a comfortable temperature.

One feature I’ve been wanting to add is having the bedroom lights slowly brighten over a half-hour period before the alarm goes off. Unfortunately, since my alarm time is variable, I haven’t figured out a seamless way to integrate this into my current setup. If anyone has any tips or workarounds, I’d be thrilled to hear them!

I’d love to hear how you all have set up your perfect wake-up (or goodnight) routines. Do you have any unique devices or flows that make your mornings or evenings extra special? Let’s share and inspire each other to create the ultimate smart home experiences! :sparkles:
