Hi everyone, I wanted to share my experience with the Philips Hue app transition time feature. After updating to version V2.0.4, I noticed that the smooth transition for turning on my lights no longer worked, while the fade-out still functioned. This sudden change was a bit of a shock, especially when I walked into the dark hallway and the lights abruptly turned on.
I spent a lot of time checking the settings, and everything seemed correct. The transition time was still set to 1 second, just like before. However, the issue persisted. I decided to look for solutions online and found that others were experiencing similar problems.
After some research, I discovered that there might be a bug in the new app version. To resolve this, I tried reverting to an older version of the app, and it worked! The transition time function returned to normal. I also reached out to the Philips Hue support team, and they acknowledged the issue and assured me that it would be addressed in a future update.
I’m relieved that I found a temporary solution and grateful to the community for their support. It’s always reassuring to know that others are facing the same challenges and that there are ways to work around them. I’ll keep an eye out for the next app update and hopefully, this issue will be a thing of the past.
