I figured it out. I have 2 Apple TVs and it was auto selecting which one should be the active home hub. It selected the wrong one. I manually selected the one that is wired to Ethernet and it started working.
I also have ATv4k as my matter router, which I connected to the U200 without bigger problems. I just had to redo the connecting steps with an older firmware of the U200 and/or OS version of the ATV. Now it looks stable.
Would love to have more functionality, at least the unlock without open function, but that might take some additional time.

Currently it’s supported in Matter integration in beta firmware, but not sure if this feature is already implemented in Apple Home. Given it’s (almost) ready and it’s part of the Matter standard, I’d say we need to wait some time and it’ll come to Apple Home
