Product request: a slim retrofit smart lock for narrow uPVC doors

Hi Aqara team,

I’d love to see a slim retrofit smart lock with a narrow body similar to the U600, designed to work with an existing door lock.

My uPVC door has limited clearance near the frame. Retrofit locks around 60 mm wide would catch on the frame and prevent the door from opening, so a narrower design would make a real difference.

Apple Home / HomeKit and Apple home key support would be especially welcome.

Are there any plans for a product like this? Thank you!

Did you saw the U250 preview already?
That’s the successor of the retrofit lock U200 -
It’s still under beta testing….
It’s smaller but I doubt that it will be fit also on your door! It’s difficult and nearly impossible to build a retrofit lock , which is compatible with all doors. But did you already tried the U600 ? Is that too big?

Thanks for the suggestion! Do you have the dimensions of the U250, especially the width of the indoor unit? That would help me check whether it can clear the door frame.

The product is still under beta - so it’s still not sure how the final product will be and we are under NDA for this

Thanks for telling me about the U250! Do you know how to join its beta testing programme, and whether it’s available in Moldova?

uPVC doors like mine are quite common in our region, so I’d be very interested in testing it. So far, none of the smart locks I’ve looked at have fit: their bodies catch on the door frame.
