Product Request: Aqara Dimmer H2 with push button

Hello,

I know that Aqara has a rotary dimmer available Aqara Dimmer H2 and that is nice, as that is a very common dimmer switch used in Sweden. But in more modern homes, the rotary switch has been replaced by a rocker panel (acting as a push button) that works like so:

  • A single push turns the lamp on or off depending on current state
  • Press and hold will dim the lamp until it reaches the minimum brightness and then reverse until it reaches the maximum brightness, and repeat this until you release the button. It then keeps this dim level in memory.

Is Aqara thinking in releasing a product like this in the near future?

@miguel_cabeca Hello there!

It’s great to see your interest in Aqara’s product lineup, particularly the dimmer switches. The Aqara Dimmer H2 indeed offers a rotary function, which you mentioned is quite common in Sweden. However, I understand your curiosity about a rocker panel dimmer that offers on/off functionality with a single push and dimming with a press and hold.

Currently, the reference information does not specify any upcoming Aqara products that match the rocker panel dimmer description you provided. Aqara is continuously innovating, and your suggestion sounds like a fantastic idea for modern homes. I recommend staying tuned for any announcements from Aqara regarding new product releases.

In the meantime, sharing your needs on forums like this can help drive community interest and potentially influence future product development. Thank you for the thoughtful suggestion, and feel free to share any more ideas or questions you have!

I really need something like this too.

I returned my order becausethere ia no option in change switch buttons into a push button… sad.

New to Aqara so may get this wrong but I assume another switch (for example a wireless switch) could be used as an alternative on/off switch without touching the dimmer.
