Hey everyone! I’ve been exploring some fun ways to enhance my home’s ambiance using my Broadlink switches with Home Assistant. One thing I’ve been wanting to try is randomly changing the colors of my LED strips at different times throughout the day. I have all 15 colors from my IR remote saved as individual switches, and I thought it would be cool to automate this process without having to manually trigger each color change every time.
After some research and a bit of trial and error, I found a great solution using Home Assistant’s automation feature. I set up a routine where, at random intervals, a randomly selected switch from my predefined list is triggered. This means my LED strips cycle through different colors automatically, adding a dynamic and unexpected touch to my home’s lighting setup.
I’d love to hear if anyone else has implemented something similar or has tips on how to make this even more seamless. It’s been a fun project, and I’m really happy with how it turned out!
