It’s hard to believe another year has flown by! I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the incredible journey I’ve had with Govee and share some of the highlights from the past year. Whether you’re new to the community or a long-time member, I hope this post inspires you to keep pushing your creative boundaries!
Creative Projects
This year, I dove headfirst into the world of smart lighting projects. My Halloween display was a blast to create, featuring over 10 Govee products and even some aerial footage captured by my drone. It was amazing to see how Govee lights brought the spooky season to life in such a vibrant way!
But the real showstopper was my Christmas light display. This year, it grew to feature over 17,000 lights, with 95% powered by Govee products! From custom steel trees wrapped in Govee lights to signs showcasing the brand, it was my most epic display yet. The best part? Seeing the joy on people’s faces as they drove by and marveled at the lights!
Unboxings and Reviews
I’ve also been thoroughly enjoying the unboxing and review process of new Govee products. The Govee Table Lamp 2 impressed me with its sleek design and seamless app integration. The Govee Cone Tree was another favorite—sturdy materials and ease of assembly made it a joy to work with. Testing out the new Govee Deck Lights has been another exciting project, and I can’t wait to share more about them soon!
Community Impact
Being part of the Govee community has been an incredible experience. I’m proud to have earned 7 medals and reached Level 4 in just over a year. Being recognized as one of the Top 50 Govee Influencers and winning the Creative Lighting Maestro Award has been truly humbling. The support from this community is what keeps me motivated to keep creating!
Personal Milestones
On a personal note, I’m celebrating 23 years clean this February—a milestone I’m incredibly grateful for. Professionally, I’ve been at my job for 18 years, and it’s amazing to see how much I’ve grown and evolved over the years. My love for lights and aerial photography has also taken me to new heights—literally! As an FAA-licensed drone pilot, I’ve turned my hobby into a part-time job, capturing stunning aerial views of my light displays.
Looking Ahead
As I reflect on this past year, I’m even more excited about what’s to come. My goal of becoming a Govee Ambassador continues to drive me, and I can’t wait to share more creative projects, reviews, and ideas with all of you.
