What does this mean that Zigbee 1.2 cannot be added? (Besides the obvious) It sounds like functionality will be restricted but I don’t understand if i should care? What does Zigbee do that Aqara doesn’t?
Hello @xntrik , when this function is enabled on the hub, adding devices via triple-clicking on the hub will not be available. Everything will be available through the application as before, no restrictions.
Not all devices support unlocking locks. To unlock it is better to use a control device on Zigbee 3.0
Thank you
Does that mean a Zigbee brand or Zigbee compatible? My lock is currently bound to my Aqara G5 Hub camera.
Zigbee is an energy-efficient wireless communication protocol between smart home devices
I think I understand. Zigbee 1.2 is an older protocol so the warning is telling me that I will not be able to add devices with the older protocol to the automation scene once I accept and continue. Is that right?
This is an outdated protocol, you will not be able to add a 1.2 device to send the lock via automation.
