I’m wondering if there are any plans to expose the ability to push thermostat mode icons (e.g., heat, cool, fan) to the second row via Zigbee. Currently, this feature doesn’t appear to be available when using the Zigbee firmware.
Hello @crjmichiels
No, this is not possible, the second line displays readings from an externally attached temperature sensor.
This will be the case in the future
Thanks for the update. Just to clarify, I’m not looking to move the mode icons to a different line — I’m looking for a way to display them via command.
Are you saying this functionality might be supported in the future?
I do already have the external temps displayed on the secondary display area.
I’m afraid you might have misunderstood the question as well. We can already publish values to update the “secondary external sensor” section at the bottom of the device that displays “secondary” along with a temperature and humidity reading.
We are asking for the ability (or the necessary information like cluster and attribute) to publish to the middle row of the W100 via zigbee, which displays the heating/cooling mode, fan speed, setpoint, etc. This is a pretty critical function for a device like the W100.
