Reset on G410. But how?

I imagined this would be easier and I’m quite frustrated. I’m in the process of switching from Alexa and Blink to the Apple ecosystem. This requires replacing my doorbell. Since I already have an Aqara G3, I chose that brand. Okay, the Chime repeater was quick to configure, as was the doorbell. Everything was handled quite smoothly in the app. However, after a firmware update, the doorbell no longer connects to the Wi-Fi. Nothing helped. So I wanted to reset the doorbell – I’d already seen the button for this when inserting the batteries. After opening the casing, I’m notified of the intrusion via both the Chime and the doorbell. The reset button doesn’t work. :frowning: Whether I press it for 10 seconds or 10 times quickly, the alarm doesn’t stop. What else can I do?

@aqara321 I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble with the reset process—it can be really frustrating when things don’t go as expected! Let’s try a more specific reset method first: for the Doorbell Camera Hub G410, if short presses or quick clicks aren’t working, please try long-pressing the reset button for 30 seconds continuously (instead of 10 seconds or 10 quick presses). This is the recommended approach for reset issues with your model, as per troubleshooting guidelines.

If the alarm persists during this process, it might be part of the reset sequence—try to keep holding the button firmly for the full 30 seconds. Once reset, you can attempt to re-add the doorbell to the Aqara Home app following the initial setup steps.

If this still doesn’t resolve the Wi-Fi connection issue after resetting, feel free to reach out to the Aqara Home App Customer Service Team (Home > Help & Feedback > Customer Service) or scan the QR code:

This will be more efficient. If you do not have an Aqara Home account, “Please click here” to create a ticket. We appreciate your patience as we work through this
