Hi. Lately I updated my U200 firmaware to version 80. And the latch retract function stopped working. Actually it starts retracting but seems like cannot retract the whole latch. I’ve tried recalibrating, resetting, deleting from the app and readding. No luck. Do you have any solutions?
@keremozen I’m sorry to hear about the issues you’re experiencing with the latch retract function on your Smart Door Lock U200 after the firmware update. It sounds frustrating, but let’s try to troubleshoot this together.
Calibration: Since you’ve already attempted recalibrating, ensure that the door is properly closed and unlocked from the inside before starting the calibration process. You might also want to try using the Aqara Home App for manual calibration by navigating to “Settings” > “Calibrate Lock.”
Firmware Update: Double-check that the firmware update was completed successfully. Sometimes enabling beta updates in the app (Profile > Firmware update) and ensuring your device is running the latest version can help resolve such issues.
Lock Mode: In the settings, switch the locking mode to “Standard” and attempt the calibration process again. This can sometimes help in resolving latch issues.
Physical Check: Ensure that the mounting screws of the lock are neither too loose nor too tight, as this can affect the retraction mechanism.
If these steps don’t resolve the issue, please contact the Customer Service Team via the Aqara Home App (Profile > Help & Feedback > Customer Service) or by scanning the QR code:
Hi, can you provide a video of the door lock calibration? We’ll ask an engineer to find out what you have. Also what was the version you were using before the update? thanks!
When can we finally expect the new firmware that will address these issues? I’ve even dismantled my lock out of sheer frustration—what a waste of money!
@bart_debackere Thank you for sharing your concerns and frustrations. I understand how disappointing it can be when a firmware update doesn’t resolve—or even introduces—issues, especially after attempting multiple troubleshooting steps.
Currently, there isn’t specific reference information available regarding the release timing of a new firmware update that addresses latch retraction issues for the U200. I apologize for not being able to provide a concrete timeline at this moment. I encourage you and other users experiencing similar problems to continue sharing your feedback in the community and, if you have specific suggestions or requests, to submit them directly through the manual customer service channels. This way, your feedback is formally recorded and can help drive future improvements.
If you need further technical help or want to report your experience in detail, please contact the Customer Service Team via the Aqara Home App (Profile > Help & Feedback > Customer Service) or by scanning the QR code below, which is efficient.
Exactly the same here. After updating to version FW 3.0.0_0084, my lock has become practically useless and non-functional. At least with the previous version, locking and unlocking worked reliably.
I too have completed all the suggested tasks. The lock worked before the update, but now it doesn’t. So, this is purely a software issue, not one of “too loose or too tight mounting screws” or something like that!
Aqara, something needs to be done!!
Same here. Since updating to FW 3.0.0_0084, my U200 became unreliable: calibration fails, motor behaves strangely, and the knob resists turning. All worked fine before, so this is clearly a firmware issue.
Thanks for the video! There’s shown a cylinder error in the first video! That probably can mean that your existing cylinder is not working properly! Whiteout mounted the U200 can you turn the cylinder hard or easily?
How works manual calibration?
Maybe try this also
Same problem and it is shameful that it has not been solved after months. I have two locks out of order. They’re not light bulbs, it’s serious. I’m really disappointed.
