Ok so I’m a bit perplexed. I got the S100us with hopes I could integrate it with a couple scenes from Apple home so my wife doesn’t have to take her phone out to turn a few table lamps off. I’ve done plenty of electrical work before so install was easy. It turned on and I connected it to Apple home which was fine other than I couldn’t change the images for the touchscreen which I expected. So I added the switch to the Aqara app and did the firmware update 1.0.3.0 and then the touchscreen says configure in app to bind accessories. So three part question really is
1:) Can I not use in Apple home if I want to change the theme or images of the touchscreen?
2:) Any reason why I wouldn’t be able to download new themes or save a configuration in the Aqara app? I decided to start all over first adding to Aqara app and tried to assign a virtual switch to an Aqara scene and it just gives me the never ending “saving ring” and I have to close the app.
3:) In the setup photos and videos I’ve seen it looks like you can pick dual mode, virtual etc. I never was presented with that option. I’mgg Only using 1 channel but would like the channel being used to also trigger an automation but… my experience so far has seemed clunky, far from my other experiences with Aqara devices… thanks in advance!
Ok, I removed from the Aqara app and was Apple to find the settings page. So I was able to change the icons and the switch function and proximity and all that. I’m still remiss on the getting it to work in Aqara and home at the same time.
Please use a gateway running version 4.5.40 or later as the Matter Controller Leader. Has your Matter Controller been updated to version 4.5.40 or later?I suspect the second issue is caused by an outdated gateway version.
You can find the option to change the touchscreen image in the device settings. If you can’t find it, feel free to ask me again.
By “dual mode,” I assume you mean “virtual mode.” I’m not sure if you’re referring to the “button mode” feature on the device’s physical buttons. You can toggle this button mode in the on-screen settings. If anything is unclear, please let me know, and I’ll explain it in detail.
