Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking a lot about how the SD card overwriting process works on my camera system. I know it says it overwrites the oldest footage first, but I’m still a bit confused about exactly how that happens. Does it overwrite the files completely, or does it just mark them as deleted and reuse the space? I’d love to hear from others who have experience with this.
I’ve also been wondering if it’s a good idea to format the SD card every now and then to clean up any possible issues. I tend to delete footage I don’t need anymore, but I’m not sure if that’s enough. I’ve heard that a full card that’s being overwritten can sometimes have issues, but I can’t really prove that. Maybe it’s just my imagination playing tricks on me!
