Hello everyone, I’ve recently started diving deeper into the Hue ecosystem beyond just the Philips Hue app and their lights. I’ve picked up a few Zigbee drivers off eBay for controlling LED tape and traditional lamps, but now I’m looking to expand my setup in a new project.
I have a small fitness studio at my girlfriend’s house, and there’s a high ledge all around the room. I’m thinking of putting something up there to shine down and compliment the LED tape rather than just having the fluorescents on!
The Philips Hue Bloom fixture is a great option, but it’s a bit pricey for my budget. I’m on the hunt for cheaper alternatives that can still provide the ambiance and functionality I’m looking for.
Has anyone had any recommendations of more affordable options that still integrate well with the Hue system? I’ve heard of a few third-party manufacturers that make compatible fixtures, but I’m not sure which ones are reliable. Any tips or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated!
Additionally, if anyone has any clever DIY solutions or creative ways to achieve a similar effect without breaking the bank, I’d love to hear about them. I’m open to all suggestions and eager to learn from the community’s wisdom.
Thanks in advance for your help and insights!
