Hello fellow smart home enthusiasts!
I’ve been exploring ways to enhance my outdoor security setup, and I’m currently on the hunt for a reliable signal repeater that can work seamlessly with my outdoor base station. My cameras outside are barely holding onto a signal, and it’s been quite the challenge to keep them operational. Imagine my excitement when I thought there might be a plug-in repeater that could be placed on the other side of my house to strengthen the signal—unfortunately, after some digging, I couldn’t find one that fits the bill yet. If anyone out there has stumbled upon a solution or has recommendations, I’d be thrilled to hear about it!
Speaking of outdoor setups, I’ve also been experimenting with smart gardening solutions. My rose bushes, planted in memory of my late grandmothers, have been a source of both joy and frustration. While one bush is thriving and blossoming beautifully, the other has been a bit of a slow starter. The heat and humidity here in Florida, combined with the relentless insects, have made it quite the challenge. I’m curious if anyone has tips or tricks for encouraging more consistent blooming in such conditions.
On a lighter note, I recently upgraded my DIY skills by creating a custom switch plate for my wall socket. It’s touch-sensitive and integrates perfectly with my ESPHome setup. The next step is to enhance it further by adding brightness control features. If anyone has experience with data templates or automation rules for such setups, I’d love to hear your insights!
