I’ve been exploring the world of home automation with SmartThings, and it’s been a fantastic journey so far. However, I’ve hit a bit of a roadblock when it comes to setting up a reliable security system. While I’ve been using SmartThings for various automations, I’ve realized that it’s not quite there yet in terms of security reliability. 
I’ve been researching other security systems that could integrate seamlessly with SmartThings. My goal is to have a setup where, for example, if the alarm is triggered, the lights come on automatically. It would also be great to have mobile check-ins and status updates. I’ve come across Risco solutions, but I’ve heard it’s a closed system, which is a bit concerning. 
Has anyone here found a security system that ticks all these boxes? I’d love to hear about your experiences and recommendations!
