Seeking Advice on Pairing Aeotec Sensors and Xiaomi Connectivity Issues

Greetings, fellow智能家居 enthusiasts! I’m a relatively new member of this vibrant community and I’m eager to share my experiences and seek your invaluable insights.

First off, I recently acquired three Aeotec Recessed Open/Close sensors, which I’m absolutely thrilled about. However, I’ve encountered a puzzling issue while trying to pair them with my SmartThings hub. Despite being within inches of the hub and following the instructions meticulously, none of the sensors have successfully paired. I’ve tried factory resetting them multiple times, rebooting the hub, and even excluding devices, but to no avail. Has anyone else experienced this and, if so, how did you overcome it? I’d greatly appreciate any troubleshooting tips or insights!

Another challenge I’m currently facing involves my Xiaomi devices, particularly the WXKG01LM switches and YTC4041GL motion sensors. They frequently display as ‘Not reachable’ and the motion sensors even show an ‘Unknown’ firmware version. I’ve followed the recommended steps to reset the connection, which provides temporary relief, but the issue recurs after a few days. I have two TRÅDFRI signal repeaters in place, so I don’t believe range is the issue here. I’d love to hear if others have encountered similar problems and how they managed to resolve them.

Lastly, I’m curious about the compatibility of the Nest 7-Day Learning Wi-Fi Thermostat with the latest TVos 13 update. I’ve heard there might be some hiccups, but I’m considering upgrading my system and want to ensure seamless integration with my existing setup.

I’m genuinely grateful for any advice or experiences you can share. Let’s keep the conversation flowing and help each other navigate these exciting yet sometimes challenging worlds of smart home technology!

Warm regards,
