Hi all, I’ve recently installed a presence sensor in my bed to detect when someone is lying down. It’s linked up to OpenHAB, and while it works well, I’m encountering some issues with false activations. For example, if someone just sits on the bed for a short period, the sensor triggers unnecessarily.
I’d love to find a way to prevent these false activations. Ideally, I’d like the sensor to only trigger after a certain period of sustained presence, say 30 seconds or more. I’m not entirely sure how to approach this in OpenHAB. Should I be looking into creating a rule with a timer function, or is there a more straightforward way to set this up?
I’ve had a quick look through the OpenHAB documentation and forums, but I’m not finding exactly what I need. Any advice or examples would be greatly appreciated! I’d love to get this working smoothly so it can reliably trigger the actions I’ve set up, like turning on the lights or adjusting the thermostat.
Thanks in advance for your help! ![]()
