Hi everyone, I’ve recently set up a Hubitat Elevate and Konnected Alarm Panel, and I’m on the hunt for a reliable battery backup solution to keep these devices running during power outages. Unfortunately, the lithium mini UPS units recommended by Konnected aren’t available internationally due to lithium battery restrictions, and I’m based in Australia.
I’ve come across a few options on AliExpress, such as the SK313T Mini Portable UPS, which seems promising as it can charge a 5V temperature probe. I’ve also got some old lead batteries from my previous wired alarm system, and I’m wondering if I can repurpose these with some DC terminal adaptors. There’s even a CCTV power supply option that includes UPS functions, which might be a good fit.
On the other hand, I’ve looked into DIY solutions, like using a lithium/lead acid battery charging module, but I’m not entirely sure how to set that up. The old metal alarm box I have still has plenty of space, so it could accommodate a battery and a panel.
If anyone in Australia has experience with similar setups or has suggestions for reliable backup solutions, I’d be thrilled to hear from you! Thanks in advance for your help. ![]()
