After exploring various options, I’ve decided to go all-in with Home Assistant (HA) for its flexibility and extensive ecosystem. However, I’m now at the stage where I need to make some crucial decisions, and I’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences.
My home is nearing completion, and I’m focusing on the lighting setup. LED spotlights will be the primary lighting solution throughout the house, and I’m considering whether to go with traditional switches or smart lighting solutions. I’ve heard great things about Philips Hue, but I’m a bit overwhelmed by the range of options and ensuring compatibility with HA. Are there specific models or configurations you’d recommend for seamless integration?
Another area I’m excited about is audio. I’ve read that HA supports a wide range of audio devices, but I’m curious about the best practices for setting up a multi-room audio system. Are there particular brands or devices that work exceptionally well with HA, or any gotchas I should be aware of?
