Seeking Recommendations for a Reliable Smart Thermostat

I’m currently in the market for a new smart thermostat to replace my existing one, and I’d love to hear your recommendations! My current setup is the Filtrete CM-50 from Home Depot, which I’ve been using with VeraLite. While it’s been functional, I’ve run into an issue where the Wi-Fi connection drops during power outages. This is particularly problematic since I use it at my vacation home, where reliable connectivity is crucial for remote monitoring and adjustments.

I’ve done some research and come across a few options like the Honeywell TH8320ZW1007, SchlageLiNK TZEMT400BB32MA, and RCS TZ45. I’m also considering the Ecobee Smart Si, even though it’s not Z-Wave compatible. I’d love to hear if anyone has firsthand experience with these models or if there’s another thermostat you’d recommend that offers consistent Wi-Fi performance, especially during power fluctuations.

What features are most important to you in a smart thermostat? Do you prioritize energy efficiency, easy setup, or seamless integration with other smart home devices? I’m particularly interested in a thermostat that provides reliable notifications and adjustments from afar, ensuring that my vacation home remains comfortable even when I’m not there.

If you’ve had a great experience with a specific thermostat or encountered any pitfalls, I’d love to hear about it! Let’s share our experiences and help each other find the perfect solution for our smart homes. Thanks in advance for your insights!
