Hi everyone, I hope this message finds you all well! I’ve been using Homematic and Homematic IP for several years now, and while they’ve served me well, I’m looking to take my heating automation to the next level. I recently discovered the Advanced Heating Control blueprint by panhans, and it’s been a game-changer in terms of functionality. However, I’ve encountered a few limitations with my current thermostat that I’d like to address.
After some research, I’ve come across the Sonoff TRVZB, which seems to tick many boxes. It’s affordable, supports external sensors, and offers precise valve control. However, I’m missing a few features that I’ve grown accustomed to, such as seeing the actual valve opening percentage and faster reaction times. This has led me to explore other options in the market.
I’m curious if anyone has experience with thermostats that integrate seamlessly with Home Assistant while offering the most control. Specifically, I’m looking for something that:
- Automatically resends failed commands
- Handles offline or unreachable devices gracefully
- Supports external sensors without hard-linking
- Allows direct valve opening adjustments
- Syncs back physical/manual changes while using calibration
Would love to hear your thoughts and experiences. Have you found a thermostat that meets these criteria? Any recommendations or insights would be greatly appreciated! Feel free to reach out if you’d like more details about my setup or the specific challenges I’m facing. Looking forward to your feedback!
