Hey everyone, I’m in the market for a new smart TV that I can integrate with Home Assistant. While there are plenty of options out there, I’m specifically looking for one that offers a few key features. First off, an HDMI switcher would be a huge plus, though I can manage without it for now. I’d love the ability to navigate apps and control the TV using scripts or automations, which would really streamline my setup. Another must-have is the capability to send notifications directly to the TV—whether it’s a quick alert or something more detailed. I’m also curious if it’s possible to display a web page on the TV, like having a camera feed pop up in the corner when someone rings the doorbell. Lastly, being able to run automations based on whether specific apps are paused or playing would be fantastic. I’m currently eyeing Samsung and LG models, but I’m not sure if one brand edges out the other in terms of these features. If anyone has any insights or recommendations, I’d be super grateful!
