Hello community! I’ve been diving into the world of Zigbee devices lately and I must say, it’s been an exciting journey. I’ve installed a variety of Zigbee bulbs and switches around my home, aiming to create a seamless smart environment. However, I’ve encountered an interesting issue that I’m hoping the community can shed some light on.
Let me start by outlining my setup:
- Coordinator: Conbee 2 stick
- Integration: Deconz (Phoscon)
- Lights: 2 Zigbee bulbs (LIDL Livarno E14)
- Switches: 1. Ikea 5-button Zigbee remote E1524 (the round one) 2. Aqara H1, the double rocker wireless Zigbee switch WXKG15LM
Now, here’s where things get intriguing. When using the Ikea 5-button Zigbee remote, toggling the lights is incredibly fast—almost instantaneous. It’s a joy to use, and I’ve had no complaints there. However, when I switch over to the Aqara H1, there’s a noticeable delay. It’s not a massive lag, but it’s definitely slower compared to the Ikea button.
At first, I thought this delay might be due to the way the Aqara H1 is integrated into my system. I noticed that with the Aqara H1, I don’t have the same automation options as with the Ikea remote. The Aqara H1 seems to rely on event triggers rather than device-specific actions, which I suspect might be contributing to the slower response time. To test this theory, I set up an automation using the Ikea button with an event trigger, and it still performed just as snappily. This made me think that the issue might not be with the trigger type but something else entirely.
I’ve spent quite a bit of time digging into the Phoscon settings, but honestly, they’re not very user-friendly. It’s frustrating because I feel like there must be a setting or configuration tweak that could resolve this delay, but I’m just not finding it. I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar or if there’s a known workaround for this issue.
If you have any insights or suggestions, I’d be incredibly grateful! Let’s see if we can crack this together. Happy tinkering! ![]()
