Hey everyone, I’m trying to set up my new Shelly 1 PM Gen 4 sensor and I’m having a bit of trouble getting it to work properly in Zigbee mode. I’ve heard great things about this device, but I’m hitting a snag during the setup process. Let me share what I’ve done so far and where I’m stuck.
First off, I decided to use the Zigbee mode for this sensor because I already have a robust Zigbee network set up with Zigbee2mqtt. I followed the instructions to put the device into Zigbee mode by holding down the reset button for 5 seconds. The LED started flashing, which I think means it’s in pairing mode. I then tried to add it to my Zigbee network using the coordinator, but it didn’t seem to pick up the device. I tried this a couple of times, resetting and attempting to pair each time, but no luck.
Now, I’m a bit confused about whether I need to connect to the Shelly’s web interface first. I’ve heard that sometimes you need to access the device’s settings before it can be paired. I tried connecting to the Shelly’s network via my phone, but I’m not entirely sure how to navigate the settings to enable Zigbee mode properly. Is there a specific configuration I need to set before attempting to pair it again?
I’d really appreciate any advice or tips from anyone who’s successfully set up a Shelly 1 PM Gen 4 in Zigbee mode. Maybe I’m missing a step in the process, or perhaps there’s a trick to getting it recognized by the coordinator.
