Hey everyone, I’ve been diving into home automation for a while now, and I’m really excited to share some of my experiences and questions with the community. I’ve been using Shelly Plug S devices to monitor and control some pumps in a drainage system, and I’m curious about their reliability, especially in case of a WLAN outage. Do they continue to execute routines without a stable internet connection? I’d love to hear from anyone who has experience with this.
On another note, I’ve been working on optimizing my system by adding more battery-powered devices. It’s amazing how much these devices can enhance convenience, but keeping track of battery levels can be a bit overwhelming. I’ve set up rules to alert me when batteries are low, but I’m wondering if there’s a way to link these alerts to specific battery types stored in a MySQL database. This would make maintenance much easier and prevent those frustrating moments when a device suddenly stops working.
I’d also love to hear about others’ experiences with integrating motion sensors and automating fans based on humidity levels. I’ve been using Lutron switches for this purpose, but I’m always on the lookout for more reliable solutions. Any tips or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks for sharing your insights and experiences. Let’s keep the conversation flowing and help each other create smarter, more efficient homes!
