For complete integration and to use all the features and settings, as far as I know, you need an Aqara Matter Hub, such as the M3.
If you use the Zigbee protocol, you can use and configure all the features. If you have a boarderouter, such as an Apple HomePod Mini, you can integrate the sensor into your ecosystem via Matter Over Thread. I think I also saw a post here where someone reported integrating the sensor into HomeAssistant via Matter Over Thread. However, as far as I remember, the entities weren’t configurable.
