Should camera privacy masks show which video outputs they cover?

The G5 Pro image-rotation discussion made me wonder how clearly camera settings describe their scope. For a privacy mask, I’d want to know whether it covers Aqara live view, local recordings, exported clips, and video shared with another platform—or whether some paths need separate configuration.

I’m proposing a setup checklist, not reporting a tested failure: show each available output with a masked preview and a clear supported/unsupported status. If the camera is rotated or a mask is edited, prompt the user to recheck those previews.

Has anyone compared these outputs on a current Aqara camera? Please include the model, firmware, connection path, and which outputs you actually checked, without posting unmasked private footage.
