Hi everyone!
I’m always looking for new ideas to make my smart home more useful and fun. Aqara devices are super flexible, so I thought we could share our most creative automations or scenes here.
Here’s one of mine:
When I come home after sunset, the Aqara FP2 in the hallway detects my presence → hallway light turns on to 50% → after 10 seconds, living room lamp fades in to 30% → music starts playing on my HomePod. Feels like walking into a movie scene
.
I’m also experimenting with:
- Using temperature & humidity sensors to control the bathroom fan automatically.
- FP2 zones to turn on only certain lights when I’m in a specific part of the room.
Your turn:
- Share your most creative automation idea
- Add a screenshot of your automation flow (HomeKit, Aqara app, or other)
- Bonus points if it’s something unexpected or just makes daily life easier
Let’s make this a little gallery of smart home inspiration!

Your idea of using temperature and humidity sensors to control the bathroom fan showcases practical innovation, and experimenting with FP2 zones for targeted lighting adds a personalized touch to your home automation.
