Smart AC & Smart Thermostat Integration: A User's Experience

Hey everyone, I wanted to share my experience with integrating smart AC units into my existing Tado system. As someone who loves tinkering with smart home tech, I’ve been experimenting with combining different devices to create a seamless heating and cooling experience. While I’ve had great success with my Tado thermostats and smart radiators, adding smart AC units has been a bit of a learning curve. I recently installed two LG Split AC units to handle cooling in my home, as I already have central heating via radiators. My goal was to integrate everything into the Tado app for easier control. While the AC units do show up in the app, they don’t interact with the radiators or thermostats in a way that I’d hoped. For example, during the winter months, it would be amazing if the system could analyze whether it’s cheaper or faster to heat the room using the radiator or the AC. I think this kind of resource management could really enhance the system’s efficiency and user experience. I’d love to hear from others who have successfully integrated multiple heating and cooling systems into their smart home setups. Have you encountered similar challenges? What solutions or workarounds have you found? I’m also curious if others would find this kind of advanced resource management feature useful. Let’s keep the conversation going and share our tips and tricks for creating a smarter, more integrated home environment! :house_with_garden::sparkles:
