Hey everyone, I’ve been trying to set up my Echo Dot alarm to slowly brighten the lights in my room, and I’m curious if anyone else has tackled this or has some tips! Right now, I’ve got my lights connected to a GE Z-Wave dimmer switch, and while I can get them to turn on when the alarm goes off, it’s just an abrupt switch instead of the nice gradual effect I was hoping for.
I’ve looked into using IFTTT, but it seems like it only handles the on/off state rather than the dimming transition. I know Philips Hue makes this pretty seamless, but I’d really like to keep using my current setup if possible. Has anyone found a workaround or a clever way to achieve this with non-Hue devices? Maybe through a third-party app or some custom scripting?
