Smart Camera Audio Fix: My Journey to Silence

Hey everyone, I wanted to share my experience with the camera audio settings in the smartphone app. I recently installed a couple of new smart cameras in my home, and while they worked perfectly for video, the audio was driving me crazy. I set the audio streaming to zero, but when I viewed the live feed, it automatically had audio. It was indoors, so I didn’t need the camera audio at all—I just wanted the chime option to work.

I tried turning off the audio streaming in the privacy settings, but that didn’t seem to make a difference. The chime volume was set to max, but the live view still had audio. I even restarted the cameras and the app multiple times, but nothing changed. I was really confused because the audio was set to zero, yet it was still playing.

After some research, I found a solution! I realized that the chime option and the camera audio are linked in the settings. By disabling the audio streaming entirely, the chime still worked, but the live view no longer had audio. It was a bit of a workaround, but it solved my problem.
