I saw that the smart door lock U50 in the store is very cool. What conditions do I need to install it first?
The door needs to have an installation hole of 38mm or more than 54mm in diameter (the size of the hole on the door after removing the accessory where the key is located). The thickness of the door should be between 35mm and 55mm. The distance from the door hole (or the center of the keyhole) to the edge of the door should be either 60mm or 70mm.

@Zoeyy Hey Zoeyy!
It’s awesome that you’re interested in the Aqara Smart Door Lock U200! To get started with the installation, here’s a quick checklist of what you’ll need:
-
Compatibility: Make sure your door is compatible. The U200 is generally designed for standard wooden doors, so you should be good if that’s what you have.
-
Tools: A PH1 standard Phillips head screwdriver is necessary. For new doors or if adjustments are needed, you might also need a drill, hole saws, a wood mortise chisel, a pencil, tape measure, and a level.
-
Smartphone: You’ll need a smartphone or tablet with either iOS or Android to download the Aqara Home app. This app is crucial for setup and operation.
-
Wi-Fi: A stable 2.4G Wi-Fi network is required for the lock’s connectivity features.
-
Batteries: The lock is powered by 4 AA batteries, so have those on hand. It’s best to use original or alkaline batteries to prevent any leakage or damage.
-
Installation Video: Once you have the Aqara Home app, you can find detailed installation steps and even scan a QR code for an installation video. Super handy!
