I’ve been absolutely thrilled with my recent journey into the world of smart home automation, and I wanted to share my experience with the amazing Shelly devices.

Buoyed by my success, I decided to take it to the next level. I wanted to create an automatic ventilation system in my garage. Using another Shelly 1 Plus with a temperature and humidity sensor, I set it up so that the garage door opens when the humidity hits 80% and closes again when it drops below 70%. It’s been running smoothly for weeks now!

If you’re planning something similar, here’s a pro tip: make sure to test your sensor placements thoroughly. I learned the hard way that placing my humidity sensor too close to the door caused some false readings initially. A little repositioning solved the issue completely.
