I’ve been on a journey to optimize my home’s energy consumption using smart home technology, and I’m thrilled to share my success story. After experimenting with various sensors and automation rules, I’ve managed to reduce my energy usage by a remarkable 26% over the past winter compared to the previous year. This achievement is a testament to the power of smart home automation when combined with thoughtful planning and execution. My setup revolves around a combination of Qubino Z-Wave Flush Pilot Wire Modules and Aqara Zigbee temperature sensors. These devices allow me to control electric radiators and monitor room temperatures with precision. For instance, when the house is detected as unoccupied, all radiators automatically switch to an energy-saving mode.
