As someone who loves both DIY projects and the convenience of modern tech, I’ve been on a journey to optimize my home’s lighting, climate control, and overall automation setup. Here’s how it all came together!
Lighting Automation with Govee
I’ve been a huge fan of Govee’s smart lighting solutions for their affordability, versatility, and vibrant color options. Recently, I decided to take my lighting setup to the next level by integrating Govee lights with my Home Assistant ecosystem. Using the Govee app and Home Assistant’s built-in integrations, I’ve been able to create dynamic lighting scenes that adapt to my daily routines and mood.
For example, in the evenings, my living room transitions from bright white light to warm, golden tones, creating a cozy atmosphere perfect for relaxation. The Govee lights also sync perfectly with my Amazon Echo Dot, allowing me to control them with voice commands or through my phone’s app. It’s been a game-changer for how I experience my home!
Climate Control with Ecobee
Another key component of my smart home setup is the Ecobee thermostat. I’ve been using it for a while now, and the Follow Me feature has been a lifesaver.
