Hello fellow smart home enthusiasts,
I’ve been on an exciting journey over the past few months setting up my smart home ecosystem. After migrating from Wink 2 to Hubitat, I’ve been thoroughly impressed with the flexibility and power of the platform. My setup is relatively simple—just seven Zigbee recessed lights and a handful of GE/Jasco Z-Wave in-wall switches. While the initial setup had its learning curve, the community resources here made all the difference.
I’ve successfully created a few scenes and rules, like winding down the house at night and scheduling my porch light. Now, I’m looking to expand my system with a few more devices. I’ve heard great things about the SONOFF S31 Lite ZB for smart plugs, but I’d love to hear others’ experiences with these or alternative products.
Another area I’m exploring is outdoor security cameras. I’d love to find a reliable option that’s compatible with my Homey setup. If anyone has recommendations or tips for seamless integration, I’d be grateful for the insights.
The journey has been incredibly rewarding, and I’m eager to continue building out my smart home. Thanks in advance for your advice and for being such an supportive community!
Best regards,
Patrick
