One thing I’ve noticed is how important it is to ensure seamless communication between devices. For example, I recently set up a routine where my Hubitat device controls the lights in my theater room while Vera handles everything else. It’s been working smoothly, but I’m curious if others have tried using Hubitat as a secondary controller. Any insights would be great!

I’ve been using VeraAlerts for alerts and notifications, but I’d love to find a way to integrate these directly into my work desktop without relying on email. I’ve heard about using Chrome push messaging, but I’m not sure how feasible that is. Does anyone have experience with this?
On a lighter note, I’ve also been experimenting with some fun automation ideas. For instance, I set up a welcome home script for my Philips Hue lights that dims them up to a specific color when I arrive and then returns to the original setting after a while. It’s a small touch, but it makes coming home feel special.
