Hello fellow smart home enthusiasts! I wanted to share my recent journey of transforming my 1952 home into a modern smart haven. It was quite the undertaking, but the results have beenAbsolutely incredible! 
The process began with a complete overhaul of the electrical system. We installed new wiring, Cat6 cables, and even a fiber-optic setup. It was a lot of work, but laying the groundwork for a truly intelligent home was worth every moment. I invested in Fibaro devices, starting with the HC2 controller, and gradually added more sensors, switches, and automation systems. The learning curve was steep, but the satisfaction of seeing everything come together was immense.
One of the biggest challenges was ensuring redundancy and reliability. After experiencing a failure with the HC2, I realized the importance of having a backup system. I’m now exploring secondary controllers and UPS solutions to ensure uninterrupted operation. It’s a crucial lesson for anyone looking to build a robust smart home setup.
