As I continue to expand my smart home setup, I wanted to share some of my experiences and lessons learned. I’ve been using a mix of devices from various brands, and while most of them work seamlessly, there have been a few bumps along the way.
One of my recent projects involved setting up a Shelly 1 to control my garage door. I followed the instructions carefully, but initially, I couldn’t get the device to communicate with my existing system. After some research, I realized that the firmware needed to be updated to the latest version. Once that was done, everything worked like a charm!
I also had an issue with a Tado wired thermostat that wasn’t controlling the heating in my bedroom. After reaching out to the community, I discovered that the wiring configuration was slightly different from what the instructions suggested. Adjusting the connections resolved the problem, and now the thermostat works perfectly.
