Smart Home Setup: Heating & Lighting Integration Tips

Hello everyone, I’m new to the Homy ecosystem, having migrated from Homee. While I’ve been impressed with the overall functionality, I’ve encountered some challenges, particularly with the heating system setup. In my current setup, I have Aquara temperature sensors in each room, which I was hoping to integrate into the heating planner. However, I noticed that the sensors couldn’t be directly linked to the heating controls, which was a bit frustrating. After some experimentation, I managed to create a workaround using flows, which has been working smoothly so far. I’d love to hear if there are more efficient ways to handle this integration!

Moving on to another topic, I’ve been exploring smart lighting solutions and have found them to be a game-changer. The ability to automate lighting based on schedules or presence has significantly enhanced my daily routine. For instance, having the lights dim automatically when I’m watching TV has been a delightful addition. I’m curious to know if others have implemented similar systems and what devices they recommend for optimal performance.

As I continue to expand my smart home setup, I’m looking into integrating more devices, such as smart plugs and thermostats. I’d appreciate any tips or recommendations on how to seamlessly incorporate these into my existing system. The journey of creating a truly connected home is both exciting and a bit overwhelming, but I’m eager to learn and improve!

Thank you all for your insights and experiences. It’s inspiring to see how others have crafted their smart home environments and I’m excited to contribute to this vibrant community.
