Smart Home Setup Success and a Small Challenge

Hi everyone! I just wanted to share my recent experience setting up my smart home system. It’s been a fantastic journey, and I’m really enjoying how everything is coming together. I’ve managed to integrate my Philips Hue lights, a couple of Z-Wave switches, and even my thermostat into one cohesive system. It’s amazing how much easier it makes my daily routine!

One thing I’m particularly proud of is setting up my motion-activated bathroom lights. I followed some tips from the community and created a rule where the lights turn on at 100% brightness during the day and evening, and then dim to 30% at night. It’s been working perfectly, and it’s so convenient not having to fumble for switches in the dark!

However, I’ve encountered a small issue with my radiator valves. They seem to be reading a temperature that’s a bit higher than the actual room temperature, which is causing them to stay on longer than necessary. I’ve checked the placement and ensured they’re not near any heat sources, but the problem persists. Has anyone else experienced this, or do you have any advice on how to calibrate them more accurately?

Overall, I’m really happy with how my setup is progressing. It’s been a great learning experience, and I’m excited to continue expanding my smart home ecosystem. Thanks to everyone for the helpful tips and support!
