Hello everyone! I’ve been diving into setting up my smart home devices lately, and I thought I’d share some of my experiences and tips in case they help others.
First off, I’ve been dealing with a time zone issue on my Arlo cameras. The app kept defaulting to Cairo UTC+2, but I’m actually in Cyprus UTC+3. I tried creating a new location with the correct time zone, but it kept reverting. After some research, I found that manually adjusting the camera’s time zone through the settings menu worked like a charm! No more confusion about when my cameras are recording.
Another thing I’ve been exploring is outdoor camera placement. My garden is a haven for wildlife, and I wanted to capture those moments without intruding on their space. I ended up using motion-activated cameras with night vision, and it’s been amazing to see the little visitors without disturbing them. Plus, setting up a drip hose watering system through my smart hub has been a game-changer for my plants.
