I’ve been experimenting with setting up my Govee humidifier to run during the night without over-humidifying my carpet. After some research and trial and error, I’ve found a great setup that works perfectly for me! ![]()
Here’s what I did:
-
Scheduled Start: I set the humidifier to turn on at 10 PM using the Govee app. This ensures it kicks in right before I go to bed.
-
Auto Shut Off: I configured it to shut off at 6 AM. This prevents any over-humidification during the early morning hours when I’m still asleep.
-
Smart Humidity Monitoring: I paired it with a Wyze smart plug and a smart switch. The humidifier automatically turns off if the humidity level reaches 60% to prevent any dampness issues. This has been a game-changer for maintaining the perfect balance in my bedroom!
-
Additional Safety Measure: I also set up a routine where if the humidity drops below 40%, the humidifier turns back on briefly for 15 minutes. This ensures the air stays comfortable throughout the night without any overuse.
This setup has been running smoothly for a week now, and I’ve noticed a significant improvement in the air quality in my room. Plus, my carpet stays perfectly dry! ![]()
If anyone has tips on optimizing this setup further or alternative methods, I’d love to hear them! Thanks to the community for all the inspiration and guidance! ![]()
