I recently transformed my letterbox into a smart device, and it’s been a game-changer for staying on top of my mail without constantly checking it. The setup was surprisingly straightforward—using an Aquara door sensor and a simple automation flow to send push notifications whenever something arrives. It’s especially handy since the letterbox is in a part of the house we don’t visit every day.
I’m now exploring adding a color sensor and a lock mechanism to block the letterbox for blue envelopes, which would add an extra layer of security and convenience. The possibilities with smart home tech are truly endless!
