I stumbled upon the Smart Light Timer in the Convenience section of the app, and it’s almost exactly what I’ve been looking for. However, there’s one tweak I’d love to see—if the light is already on, I’d love it to increase the dimmer to 100% for a set amount of time before returning to its previous level.
Here’s the scenario: I have a coat closet without an internal light, but there’s a recessed light right outside. I’m planning to add a door sensor to the closet so that when I open the door, the light turns on. However, this light is often on at a lower brightness level (around 60%). When I open the closet door, I’d love for it to brighten to 100% for a few minutes before dimming back down.
This would be incredibly useful not just for closets but for other areas where you want a temporary boost in lighting. I’m curious if anyone has found a workaround or if this might be a feature worth suggesting to the developers. Thoughts?
