Hey everyone!
I just wanted to share a fun project I’ve been working on with my smart lighting setup. I’ve always been fascinated by how automation can make everyday tasks more convenient and enjoyable, so I decided to dive into creating some custom lighting scenes in my living room. ![]()
I’ve been using a combination of Philips Hue bulbs and some Govee smart LED lights, and I have to say, the possibilities are endless! My favorite setup so far is a dynamic color-changing effect that responds to music. It’s pretty simple—using the Home Assistant app, I linked my Spotify account to the lights, and now whenever I play a song, the lights automatically adjust their color and brightness to match the beat.
It’s such a cool way to set the mood for parties or just relax in the evenings!
I also created a sunrise simulation for my bedroom. Every morning, the lights gradually brighten to mimic the sunrise, which helps me wake up feeling more refreshed. It’s like having a personal sunrise alarm clock!
I’ve been so impressed with how easy it was to set up using the built-in automation features in my smart home system.
I’d love to hear from anyone else who’s experimented with similar setups or has tips for taking it to the next level. Do you have any favorite lighting automations or hacks? Let’s share and inspire each other! ![]()
