Smart Lighting Automation and Family Recovery Story

I’ve been diving into smart lighting automation lately, and I wanted to share a fun project I’ve been working on. I recently set up an Innr Lightstrip in my living room, and using the developer tools, I’ve been experimenting with motion sensor automation. The goal is to have the lights flash red twice and then switch to white when motion is detected. While I’ve got the color change working, I’m still figuring out how to automate the flashing effect. It’s been a great learning experience!

On a more personal note, I wanted to share an update about my mom’s recovery. She’s been through a lot recently, but she’s doing much better than expected. It’s been a rollercoaster, but seeing her improve has been incredibly heartwarming. While she’s still a bit stubborn about adopting smart bulbs, I managed to convince her to get a Govee fan that she can control with her voice. Small victories, right?

I’ve also been exploring the Govee app for Halloween decorations. Setting the lights to spooky colors has been a fun way to get into the holiday spirit. If anyone has tips on creating custom scenes or automations, I’d love to hear them!

Lastly, I’ve been working on tracking daily activities for a new addition to our family. Using counters and automations, I’ve set up a system to track feeds, diaper changes, and more. It’s been a great way to stay organized and keep everything in one place. If anyone has suggestions on how to improve this setup, I’d appreciate the input!

Overall, it’s been a mix of learning, family moments, and getting creative with smart home tech. I’m excited to see how everything evolves in the coming weeks!
